Project Manager

Manages multiple software development, integration, and implementation projects throughout the project lifecycle.  Responsible for the completion of contracted deliverables within an assigned schedule, scope, and budget. This is a billable position with revenue, and margin targets.

Primary Duties

  • Responsible for all aspects of project management throughout the project lifecycle; ensure successful project execution within baseline scope, schedule, quality, and cost.
  • Responsible for assembling and managing internal project resources.
  • Establish and maintain customer/client relationships; primary point of contact for the customer for all project activities and account management.
  • Support pre-sales activities such as identifying and closing project opportunities.
  • Responsible for maintaining and proactively identifying budget issues on assigned projects.
  • Forecasts project needs and institutes plans to meet them.
  • Identify and implement opportunities to increase operations efficiency, focused primarily on profitability and service quality.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with clients to ensure satisfaction.
  • Provide coaching and supervision for staff members working on projects under their management, including input to annual performance review.

Job Specification

  • Excellent client relations skills. Must be able to interface internally and externally with client project team.
  • BSCS/BSEE and/or Business degree or equivalent required.
  • Requires 8 or more years in progressively responsible positions in IT consulting or application development projects.
  • Must have excellent analytical and verbal and written communication skills
  • Project management certification (PMP, etc.) desired.

Demonstrated Previous Experience:

  • Successfully lead the deployment of enterprise content management (ECM) implementations, preferably using Open Text Livelink or eDOCS product suite.
  • Successful leadership of projects through the Life Cycle Development of Custom Applications or COTS implementations.
  • Demonstrated experience developing and maintaining project plans, project cost tracking and reporting, and contract management.
  • Demonstrated success Managing technical teams and business analysts to develop solutions that met customer’s business needs

 

 

Project Coordinator

Manages the day-to-day task assignments for the completion of contracted deliverables within an assigned schedule. This is a billable position.

Primary Duties

  • Responsible for managing internal project resources as well as helping to maintain customer/client relationships.
  • Support other pre-sales activities such as identifying potential future/add-on projects for the customer as well as providing high level assessment of the opportunity to senior management.
  • Responsible for maintaining and identifying scheduling and resources issues on a specific project.
  • Responsible for identifying and organizing appropriate resources to deliver services, solving client problems in relation to the project.
  • Identify and implement opportunities to increase operational efficiency.
  • Forecasts project needs and institutes plans to meet them.
  • Identify and implement opportunities to increase operations efficiency, focused primarily on profitability and service quality.
  • Help develop and maintain relationships with clients to ensure satisfaction.
  • Provide coaching and supervision for staff members working on projects under their management, including input to annual performance review.

Job Specification

  • Requires 5 or more years of consulting experience.
  • Must have excellent analytical and verbal and written communication skills.
  • Candidate will possess or be required to work towards PMP certification.
  • This position requires an active (or ability to obtain) U.S. Security Clearance, for which the US Government requires US Citizenship.

Demonstrated Previous Experience:

  • Provide daily task assignments for the delivery of custom applications or COTS implementations.
  • Develop and maintain project plans, project tracking and reporting (resource hour management).
  • Serve as a point of contact for the customer for project activities.
  • Work with technical teams and business analysts to develop solutions that met customer’s business needs.
