Content Server System Administrator

The OpenText Content Server System Administrator performs a wide variety of system administration tasks for the OpenText Content Server solution. This could include installation, configuration, upgrades, and operational support.

Primary Duties

  • For OpenText Content Server and associated modules: Installs new software releases, system upgrades, evaluates and installs patches and resolves software related problems.
  • Monitors system to ensure OpenText solution is operating as expected. Makes adjustments as needed to ensure optimal performance.
  • Analyzes and resolves problems associated with server hardware, operating systems, applications software.
  • Provides second level customer system support for customer software/system applications.
  • Provides guidance from a design and architecture perspective related to functional and system requirements.

Job Specification

  • Minimum of an Associate’s Degree required.
  • Requires 4 or more years in progressively responsible positions in IT consulting projects.
  • Previous experience with the OpenText product stack preferred.
  • Security Plus Certification preferred.
  • Minimum Secret Level Clearance preferred.
  • Strong client relationship skills. Must be able to interface internally and externally with client project team.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills needed, along with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
